Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026 — applies to SPblock deployments operated from spblock.pages.dev and self-hosted copies.

What we collect

• Account data — for administrator accounts: an email address. For organization accounts: an organization name and a username. Passwords are stored only as salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hashes; nobody (including administrators) can read them.
• Projects — the block programs you save are stored as JSON in the platform database, tied to your account.
• Session data — a signed session token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Only one active session per account is kept: signing in on a new device ends the previous session.
• Your Gemini API key — if you configure the AI assistant, your Google AI Studio key is stored in your browser's local storage and sent only from your browser to Google's API. It never reaches SPblock's servers.

What we do not collect

• No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising.
• No cookies for tracking — local storage is used only for your session and settings.
• Your firmware is never uploaded anywhere: block-to-C++ conversion happens in your browser, and flashing talks directly to your board over USB.

Third parties

• Cloudflare — hosts the application and database. Cloudflare processes request metadata as part of providing the service (see Cloudflare's own privacy documentation).
• Google — only if you use the AI assistant, your prompts and canvas description are sent to Google's Generative Language API using your own API key, under your agreement with Google.

Organization accounts

If your account belongs to an organization, the organization administrator can see your username, project counts, and storage usage, and can disable or delete your account. The main administrator can set the organization's storage and member limits. Deleting an account removes its projects permanently.

Retention & deletion

Projects are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted. Signed-out sessions are invalidated server-side. For any data question on this deployment, contact the deployment's main administrator.

This policy may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be posted on this page.
